Police arrested a drunken sailor who bit a police officer at Seattle Center early Thursday morning.
Officers responded to a call from Seattle Center security at about 1:25 a.m. Security workers had detained two men for crashing through bollards meant to keep vehicles out of Center grounds.
Both men were drunk, and when an officer attempted to take one of them into custody for DUI, he resisted arrested, kicked at the officers and bit one of them on the hand, according to police.
The man continued to kick at the officers as they put him into the patrol car.
Police took him to the North Precinct, where the man, who is active duty in the Navy, continued his swearing and angry invectives. He was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault. Police are seeking additional charges of DUI, reckless driving, and hit and run.
