Downed trees caused power outage
At about 7 p.m. last night, power went out to 3,800 QA customers. City Light said a tree got caught in the wires. They got the power back on at about 8:50 p.m.
The general boundaries of the outage were: W. Ewing St. on the north, Mercer St. on the south, 6th Ave. N. on the east and 14th Ave. W. on the west, according to the utility. Not all homes and businesses within these general boundaries were affected.
I think the fallen tree that caused the outage may have occurred near me. SDOT had closed a portion of the street this morning to remove debris from the wind storm. That's Eric, above, giving the thumbs-up!
Thanks, guys. Right back at ya!
KOMO-TV's Holly Gauntt sent in the photo below. When the power goes out, I find it's best to go out to dinner. Sushi Bay on Dexter had power, although they were out of miso soup.
